A gaming wonderland that promises “Everything Under the Sun, Sunset Station is one of the most popular attractions off the Las Vegas Strip. Located in Henderson, the always-thriving enterprise offers everything from movies to bowling to some of the hottest poker games around.

Voted “Best Locals Hotel & Casino by the Las Vegas Review-Journal Readers Poll five years in a row, Sunset Stations is part of the growing Station family of casinos that includes Palace Station, Boulder Station, Texas Station and Santa Fe Station.

Boasting the largest poker operation of any Station casino, Sunset Station offers a spacious non-smoking (8am-12am) room overseen by one of the friendliest crews in town. Poker manger Jackie Graybill and her team operate under a strict zerotolerance policy to produce a calm atmosphere that attracts an ever-growing crowd of loyal customers. With so much competition in the area, Sunset Station continues to prosper by providing a place where everyone is made to feel safe and comfortable.

Currently, the Sunset Station poker room spreads $2-$4, $3-$6-$9, $4-$8 with a half kill on No-limit Hold’em and $2-$-4, $4-$8 with a half kill on Omaha High. Additionally, the room is one of only a few in the Las Vegas area to still have a low 5% $3 max rake.

Thanks to today’s poker boom, Sunset Station always has a steady crowd for its daily tournaments. On Mondays at 10 a.m., the room hosts a Limit Hold’em tournament with an $18 buy-in with $2 add-ons. Tuesdays boasts Limited Omaha High tournaments at 10a.m. with an $18- buy-in and $2 add-ons. On Wednesdays, the room hosts a 10 a.m. No Limit Hold’em tourney with a $23 buy-in and $2 add-ons. Thursdays feature 10 a.m. Limit Hold’em games ($18 buyin and $2 add-ons), while 11 a.m. No Limit Hold’em tournaments ($23 buy-in, $2 add-ons) are held every Friday and Saturday. On the second and last Sunday of every month, Sunset Stations hosts a special Ladies Only Hold’em tournament, while beginners lessons are available every Sunday at 2 p.m. and Monday at 11 a.m.

In addition to stellar tournament schedule, Sunset Station is an active participant in the Station family’s hugely successful “Poker Plus events. Held every six months, “Poker Plus awards poker players who put in at least 50 hours of regular play with $25 and a seat in a special two-day, $250,000 tournament. Since its launch eight years ago, “Poker Plus has steadily become one of the most anticipated events among Station Casino regulars, with the last tournament drawing thousands of qualifying players. This year’s “Poker Plus is slated for early September.

But that’s not all. Sunset Station (along with the other Station casino locations) boasts the largest Texas Hold’em Jackpot in all of Nevada! The Jumbo Hold’em Jackpot is a company- wide promotion that starts at $100,000 and increases daily. It starts at four tens and goes down every week (four nines, four eights, etc.) When the jackpot is hits at any of the Station rooms, a signal is sent from that room to all other Stations poker rooms and sets off a plasma screen announcing the hit. Any player who has been dealt in for at least one hand (and does not have a missed blind button) is eligible for a share. The winning hand receives $20,000 plus a share, while the losing hand receives $35,000 plus a share. The inhouse jackpot stays at aces full of tens and $10,000. The wining hand receives $3,500 plus a share and the losing hand receives 2,000 plus a share. The in-house shares are split among only the players in the room where it was hit. Not surprisingly, this system has done wonders for Sunset’s player base!

When not honing their skills at the tables, Sunset Station guests are encouraged to take advantage of the casino’s vast array of amenities and attractions. The 110,000-square-foot casino includes a bingo hall, a sports/race book and more than 3,000 slot machines. Sunset Stations also features a 457-room hotel, seven restaurants, a concert amphitheater, a 500-seat lounge, multiple movie theaters, a supervised daycare center… and even a bowling alley!
