“Do not cast your pearls upon swine,” The wise, wisest of them all said.

“So you wanna be rich and famous.” The famous Mr. Sludikoff playfully said, August, Thursday, I so, so vividly remember. I had been meditating right before I walked into his office. I meditated to relax and because Mr. Sludikoff (over the telephone) seemed to be a calm and gentle soul…Therefore, I calmed the HOT/ALL KNOWING rage/passion I have in my soul, so I wouldn’t come on toooooo strong. You see, I’ve noticed new friends have to slowly get to know ME. I need to be gentle, I’m trying y’all, and I’m doing the BEST that I can. Mr. Donald Woods (Dealer Vibes) shared this with me (my fellow columnist and friend said one time (I’m paraphrasing) “take it easy, everyone cannot handle IT.”

Lucky ME, I cast my pearl upon Mr. Stanley Sludikoff and he saw the beauty, he saw beyond the sand pebbles that took away from my jewel’s luster. It was/is my big break. That’s just the way I feel. That might sound silly or dumb to some (and if so, don’t read on)…because I try to write to lift the POKER PLAYER’S spirit… This opportunity (to write for the publication) has taken me to places, I have never dreamed of. I hope I get invited to the WPT Ladies Night event that would be the ultimate.

OOOH, the IT factor…Let me tell all the dreamers out there that, until you realize that you humbly have IT, your dreams will NOT take off…Work on yourself, work on yourself, read the books, listen to the tapes, not just about poker BUT about everything, IT will change your life believe me, it changed mine. I cry tears of JOY these days…

The Warner Bros. Movie “Lucky You” invited me. I am a poker player in the movie. It was an awesome experience. I learned from the pokerteacher “Fitz,” I learned all the chip poetry tricks. It was a fabulous experience and I cannot wait to shoot my own movie this summer.

Everybody on the set was very kind, except one individual. He ticked me off. I tried not to react and just pray for his lost soul and pray that maybe he can go from being a swine to a human being. He was so rude; it almost caused me to completely lose my temper, which doesn’t happen often these days. So I started singing (the best way to come back to the light is by singing) “this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. After singing this a few time in my heart, I came to the conclusion that this individual was not even worth my energy because he was swine to the tenth degree and swine does not recognize pearls.

I am taking a break from poker, just for a couple weeks…a wise man on earth told me, “Maybe the reason you keep getting bad beats is because you are not meant to be playing at this time, you are not meantto be in a casino at this time.” That’s one of those things that make you say hmmmm? The wise man was/is right so I will be taking a couple weeks off the tables to regroup, to read, to study, to grow, to love, to exercise, to fuel my soul with the truth and to share the good news…but I will still write you, you better believe it.

Maya Angelou said something like “the more creativity you use the more you will have.” Hmmmm?

Until we meet again…think about this “WHEN IS IT A GOOD TIME TO TAKE A BREAK, WHEN YOU COLLAPSE?” No my friends, take care of yourself now TODAY… Oh swine is the modern day PIG, in case you didn’t know. It’s a metaphor, no offense to the cute creatures.
