Pechanga Resort & Casino’s new High Limit Salon
Pechanga tribal commission leaders and casino executives cut a rib ribbon on May 14 and officially opened California’s first luxury, high-stakes gaming venue. Temecula’s Pechanga Resort & Casino’s new High Limit Salon marks the start of a new era for California casino resorts by taking luxury and service to a new level.
“The High Limit Salon provides our guests - who enjoy high-stakes games- with a level of privacy, luxury and service they can find nowhere else in California,” said Amy Minniear, President of Pechanga Development Corporation. “It’s something our customers told us they wanted, and we are pleased to be able to provide it for them.”
Inside the $14 million High Limit Salon, guests play Blackjack, PaiGow Poker, Midi-Baccarat and Big Baccarat at tables set in luxurious style. All are high-stakes games with $100 table minimums. The High Limit Salon adds 21 high-stakes table games, with two private gaming salons, to the Pechanga Resort & Casino’s existing high-limit gaming area with 235 slot machines.
The 16,000-square-foot High Limit Salon started operating on April 23 with a “soft opening,” a standard practice in the resort business. “It gave us a chance to see that things were running seamlessly before the real push begins with today’s festivities,” James said. “We put a lot of research and creativity into the development and design of the High Limit Salon; we even brought in a Feng Shui master to help. It is working well and our guests let us know they’ve been pleased from the start,” said John James, Pechanga General Manager.
Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony, can be seen in the High Limit Salon’s clean, simple, but elegant decor, especially with its opaque glass room dividers that double as water features.
A private dining area serving highend coffees, teas, hors d’oeurves and appetizers helps make the High-Limit Salon a VIP sanctuary.
Concierge service is available through servers in the dining area, and they cater to any special needs guests may have, James added. For more information call (877)711-2WIN or log onto www.Pechanga.com.
