Tom Christopher Wins Best-All-Around Player at Peppermill. The Peppermill in Reno just completed 11 days of great tournament action. The event began October 26 and ran through November 4, with 19 events ranging from $120-$1,000. The action included a HORSE event, a ladies only tourney, a seniors’ event, as well as crazy pineapple and terminator events. A cruise for two, sponsored by ClubUBT.com was awarded to the best all-around player, Tom Christopher. He made three final tables that included two first place finishes, a fourth place finish, as well as a sixteenth and eighteenth place finish. All of the results for the 19 events are published in this issue of Poker Player Newspaper.

Poker Room Now Open. Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center in Wheeling, West Virginia opened a state-of-the-art, 20-table poker room. They offer Texas hold’em, no-limit Texas hold’em, seven-card stud, Omaha and Omaha/8. They will also host World Series of Poker satellites and daily tournaments. The action runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Check out their ad in this issue of Poker Player Newspaper for more information. Play a Hand to Lend a Hand. St. Mary’s Food Bank Turkey Drive no-limit hold’em poker tournament will be held at Casino Arizona on Saturday, November 17. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with a $12,500 guaranteed payout. The top 40 places will be paid, and $15 of the $40 buy-in will be donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank. Bargain Poker Cruises to the Mexican Riviera.

Sunshine Players Group is offering 5-day poker cruises to the Mexican Riviera for as little as $160. Cruise five, seven, or eight days from $160-$390. Cruises begin January 26, 2008 through November 30, 2008. The first 30 players who book a cruise and sign up for the member reward bonus program will earn cash by playing live poker: play 20 hours and earn $150; play 30 hours and earn $225; play 40 hours and earn $300. There is Still Time to Qualify. You still have time to qualify for the last of three $30,000 freerolls at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. It only takes 30 hours to qualify, and the last event will be held on December 1. For more information see their ad in this issue of Poker Player Newspaper.

Tournament Action is Back at Binion’s. Binion’s runs daily tournaments from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The 10 a.m. event has a $50 buy-in, the 2 p.m. and 2 a.m. events each have a $70 buy-in with one $40 rebuy. Sundays thru Thursday at 8 p.m. Binion’s offers a $70 buy-n with a $40 rebuy. The Friday and Saturday event starts at 8 p.m. with a $150 buy-in and a $50 rebuy. The 2 p.m. event on Saturday and Sunday has a guaranteed $10,000 prize pool. A Tournament of Champions event is held the first Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. The winner of the previous month receives a free entry into the TOC.
